7 Platforms and cultures of the world Â
The ARTPARIS+GUESTS contemporary art fair reflects market evolution with seven geographic and cultural platforms having the purpose of integrating emerging scenes and new creative values. These platforms are an opportunity to discover, meet, buy, etc.Â
The platforms represent one continent and three countries: Africa, Finland, Indonesia, and Ukraine. But also Paris, the international capital of art, with its Marais district galleries at the Utopia/Dystopia platform and the Rive Gauche galleries which are recreating a Collector's Apartment, not to mention young European galleries specially combined in a curiosity cabinet entitled Visions.
In short, unprecedented sights beneath the glass dome of the Grand Palais!

March 18 to 22, 2010
Crossovers and exhibitions curated by gallery owners
From 18 to 22 March 2010 at the Grand Palais of Paris, the ARTPARIS+GUESTS modern and contemporary art fair will welcome some one hundred French and international galleries invited to exhibit on the basis of an original concept.
The most active and creative galleries on the international market are being asked to participate in ARTPARIS+GUESTS by forming associations with partners or âGuestsâ to create âan event within the event.â These âGuestsâ are being called upon to resonate with the approach of the participating galleries and with the works of the artists on exhibit.
Thus, some galleries are currently setting up an exhibition program linked with famous architects, designers, renowned chefs, writers, musicians, cinematographers, fashion creators⊠in order to establish parallels between different fields of creation and to reflect the transversality of artistic experiences. Some other galleries are in touch with collectors, foundations, museums, contemporary art or antique galleries in France or abroad to showcase at ARTPARIS+GUESTS the best of modern and contemporary art.
And about one third of the galleries will dedicate their stand to a solo show.
From November 2009 to March 2010, ARTPARIS+GUESTS will be raising the curtain roughly twice a month on special gallery projects...
In the press release enclosed, discover the special projects of :
- The gallery LahumiĂšre with the Museum im Kulturspeicher of WĂŒrzburg, Germany
- The gallery Jean Brolly with the internationally-renowned architect Jean de Gastines
- The gallery Ritsch-Fisch with the founder of âMaison Rougeâ (in Paris) Antoine de Galbert and the Damgaard gallery from Morocco.
With ARTPARIS+GUESTS, which emphasizes inventiveness and art crossovers, gallery owners and their partners will become, within the same space, the associated curators of an event which should attract a clientele of international collectors and stimulate the interest of new audiences.
The objective of ARTPARIS+GUESTS is to become an exchange platform underscoring the vitality of the art market and to develop in France a new art fair experience.
ARTPARIS+GUESTS is being organized by Lorenzo Rudolf, Caroline Clough Lacoste, and Henri Jobbé Duval, who have combined their expertise and knowledge of the market to bring this event to fruition.

Nall Art association Press Announcement
When I began this work over 6 months ago, it would be the 4th Adam and Eve that I have done to date. Each time it seems that I have peered through another perspective. The painting provokes the images and symbols of the Biblical tale, and of Darwin's Evolutionary Theory , but was done with a questioning spiritual synopsis, to ponder the relationship between man and woman. In the biblical story the lack of control or limits of egocentricity have run rampant with the female, as she defies God's command. Eve has been visited with accidents and calamity, with snake and red ant bites, plaster casts, her vanity eaten away and with a growing old of the flesh, ( maggots falling from her rotting toes). Her fingers have been broken off trying to climb out of the whole she dug for herself and the human race by disobedience to God, eating of the forbidden fruit.
Adam has been corrupted by Eve by eating of the fruit, thus the two bites from the apple. Insects surround them, but Eve is no longer able to catch and eat them as her open mouth reveals that her tongue is screwed down by a tetanus producing rusted screw. She is focused on the viewer, not Adam, rather she is oblivious to him in her desire to be noticed.
The couple have evolved from first crawling out of a conch shell, to snake, tadpole and fish, to frogs and toads, and are being ignored by the angel fish swimming by.
The ultimate punishment is to be handcuffed together for life, but God in his mercy has produced a buzz saw and is cutting the chains, liberating each from their mate.
