The restoration of royalty not accompanied by much change of form or line. Only the characteristics of Empire decoration disappeared and mahogany was used less. Charles X style is more characteristic with its fashion for lighter woods. Restoration craftsmen included : F.H Jacob, F. Baudry, the Jeanselmes, L.F Puteaux, F. Rémond, Werner.

Furniture : in both styles, smaller sized articles of furniture were created. "Bateau" beds, gondola chairs, three-legged tables.

Materials techniques : for contrasting effects light French and exotic woods : burr ash or elm, flecked maple, satin wood, sycamore, walnut were used together with typpes of rosewood, mahogany, ebonny. Gilt bronzes.

Types of decoration : Contrasting marquetry with palmette motives. Everything is very stylised.
